An ardent health & fitness specialist who started from the ashes of a severely neglected body, mind & spirit. Through exploring different martial arts & fitness modalities, as well as growing self-discipline & dedication, he steadily worked his way up, while simultaneously developing his latent interest in body-mechanics.
During 2009 Rickus started with bodyweight training specialist, Karl Van Lith, who guided him in refining his skills & setting him on a path to qualify as Fitness Instructor.
Certifying under internationally acclaimed Coaches Scott Sonnon & Alberto Gallazzi in 2011 & 2013, he obtained certificates in TACFIT (Tactical Responders Fitness) & C.S.T. (Circular Strength Training). Rickus attained yet another milestone in his career after successfully completing Anne Combrink’s Yoga Teacher’s Training at Ananda Sanga Yoga School in 2018.
Expertise in Bodyweight Training, Yoga, Calisthenics & Tactical Gymnastics, to name but a few, form part of his “arsenal”. In tandem with his passion for movement is his dedication to coach, guide & motivate others towards reaching their own true potential.
